This new Self-Closing Tap has been developed over two years to overcome the problems of very low and high water pressure use. Current disaster relief systems leak under low pressure, losing valuable water, and are very difficult to open by hand above 2.0 bar pressure.
The new Self-Closing Tap is lightweight and robust. Outwardly designed to be familiar to the user, it incorporates a unique valve internally that allows the tap to be opened at high pressure and closes firmly under low pressure.
The new Self-Closing Tap has been tried and tested by four international aid agencies in heavy use environments. The tap proved to be the favourite by the users and well received by engineers keen to save water.
